Started computing on a HeathKit that I built circa 1975. Studied the architecture, registers, etc., and taught myself and wrote programs in assembly language.
"Graduated" to Commodore and Apple, TRS-80 and various other "pre-PC's". Logged on to search services and the whole nine yards.
Was tapped in my company to automate the entire operation because I "was the only who had ever seen a computer". Started with the first IBM's; beta tester for CD-ROM technology for Hitachi and SilverPlatter, others; bought first HP LaserJet; Named Director of Online Services; stayed 15 years; last 15 years, programmer (C, VBASIC, etc.) and ultimately CTO. Am CISSP certified and MCSE2000.
