Why I dumped Digg from my RSS feeds

I think I'm aware of most (and I mean most, not all) events that surround FLOSS. But I don't have a magic trick for that. I just use an RSS Akregator (pun intended) and look at what's going on with the news. I use LT, FSM, Digg (just the linux/unix feed), even Netcraft's (which I think will be dumped from my feeds in a few days) and a few others. I get so many news it's hard for me to keep up with all the incoming information (I think there should be a little more "intelligence" in agregators so they can tell duplicated news... but that's out of scope). And I have (and hate) to confess that one of the topics that catches my attention most often is Microsoft. Those guys do know how to make it to the news and getting exposed to bashing.

Now, I just learned that Digg has reached an agreement with Microsoft so MS handles Digg's advertising. Say what?

There's two things I considered.

1st Why did I learn about it just TODAY, after over one month I should have learned about it? I would have loved to see it on Digg (or any other of my feeds) 2 nanoseconds after it was made public.

2nd I certainly try to keep MS away from every penny I can make them somehow. I know, I know.. that's an impossible task.. even every time I breath they get some money for me doing that... but at least I try to do my best effort. So this Digg agreement leaves me no choice.

Conclusion: I dropped Digg from my feeds. It was a nice ride, but it hand to end someday.
