Dear experienced Software Engineers and Developers,
I seek all your advices and suggestions to go forward in my career.
I (29) am holding a BSc (IT).
After getting my degree I joined a firm as a ASP/ SQL Programmer and continued in the same for one year. I was very successful in this position that all end users as well as my supervisors were very happy with me.
After that I joined the Parliament as a Web Editor, hoping to do some Web Programming as well as Content Editing. I have spent around 1 ½ years in this place and I am yet to get any piece of Programming because the Parliament Website is out sourced ( before the Web Team was recruited) and still in the hands of the external developing company. All these days I was doing content management and editing for the Website on and off I get to check the developments done by the external developers and most of the time this black box testing.
Currently, I am very much unhappy and I want to join a developing company as a developer. I have learnt Java earlier but I am not very proficient in it.
Fine.
I see there is a market for .NET developers and Java Developers and I want to get professionally certified in either of these so that I can secure a good job. But I am unable to choose which one.
Please help me to get start….
